Scene on the Sound: Fishing boat takes on water at Point Wells

A fishing boat at Point Wells started taking on water Thursday, October 24, 2024. With the crew manually bailing the water out of the boat, the coast guard showed up, lashed on to the boat and escorted it out into the Sound.

As the coast guard was moving the fishing boat south, another fishing boat showed up.

The second fishing boat lashed on to the first boat and headed north with the coast guard following behind.
