If you are looking for a dog park during the closure, please visit Shoreline’s newest off-leash dog area at Ridgecrest Park or the Shoreview Park off-leash dog area:

As an owner of a rambunctious dog it is disheartening to learn the Shoreview off leash park closure overlaps the closure of the eastside park. Poor planning, Park Department! Shoreview will be closed until next year - to do what? Pave the parking lot? Anyone who has checked out the NEW Ridgecrest dog park is mightily disappointed unless they have a small sedentary dog. (Remember to bring your own water and shade). I'll be going to North Acres or Mountlake Terrace whose parks depts don't treat dog owners as 2nd class citizens.
