Brush fires in Shoreline under investigation

Shoreline Fire responded to brush fires along the Interurban Trail and Dunn Lumber on August 7, 2024. 

Grass was burned on one side of the Trail and on the other side, a number of trees lining the Sephardic Brotherhood Cemetery were burned.

Trees at the cemetery on 167th were also burnt.

The cause is unknown and is under investigation.

  2. OMG! This is HORRIBLE!! I certainly hope this investigation is given the energy it needs to track down the culprits. It seems possible the tree burning is due to antisemitism.

  3. Any updates on the investigation? I often walks these roads and am not comfortable with a thought that some agressive antisemits might be on the loose.

  4. Fire Dept says the investigation is ongoing. But they feel certain that it was random, not targeted, because the damage was all along the Trail.
