No idea where this is, other than 15th NE in North City, or what the occasion was. Just fortunate to have a photographer in the vicinity.

They went off at midnight. There are no events on the calendar and these are not exactly left-over sparklers, so perhaps it was a private (illegal) celebration.

It's the start of the Tet offensive.
ReplyDeleteLets remember that they are illegal in Shoreline ALL the time and you scared the HELL out of our dogs, kept us up trying to calm them. Thanks a**hole.
ReplyDeleteIn the “no consequences era” laws are meaningless.
ReplyDeleteIt was horrendously loud! I live at NE 177th and two blocks east of 15th NE. I don't think it was any planned celebration. I've heard them a few times recently, but nothing this loud and not at midnight.
ReplyDeleteThis is so dangerous and could have started a very destructive fire. Leave the fireworks to the professionals in a safe, controlled environment. Also, respect animals and veterans and people who have to get up in the morning. Nothing about this is OK.
ReplyDeletethanks for the info - I heard them and was curious - was hard to tell direction from whence the sound came
ReplyDeleteI was woken up by the fire works thinking that they were gun shots. Scared the heck out of me. They were so loud.
