Ok it's not really. Seattle Poppy says it is a little ceramic bunny which has been snuggling up to this tree for at least a year.

Speaking of bunnies - what happened to ours?

The coyotes couldn't have eaten them all.

Do they hibernate?

I don't see the rabbits out and about much this time of year either, but my front porch security camera catches them most mornings before first light. They like to munch on my fountain grass. I don't think they hibernate. My guess is they are staying warm in safe in their burrows under the hedges.

Our rabbit made a couple of appearances a week ago, apparently to remind me that it is still there. I thought they liked hay. Apparently not. Wanted another apple.

Sad to say that might be the only "wildlife" and "tree" left in this neighborhood if the city council continues to let developers clear cut -
