The Nimitz, 1040 feet in length, is one of the largest warships in the world; the Encore, 1094 feet in length, carries over 4,000 passengers.

Cool photos. The Nimitz does not have many deployments left; one or two, maybe three.
I wonder if the cruise ship rendered the traditional naval salute when encountering a warship.

The Nimitz is 1,092 feet long. She was my home for 3 years.
The Nimitz is returning from Asia Pacific. While here, she and her crew volunteered on Guam twice at Kurason I Sengsong/ Island Girl Power in the Village of Dededo. We thank them for their service in April, and their return in the early days of recovery from Typhoon Mawar end of May.
