Discussion topics: Continued Discussion of Speed Limit Reductions and Traffic Calming Methods
It's already 25 through most of the residential areas that get a fair bit of traffic. If they plan to reduce speed limits on more major thoroughfares. All this means in my opinion is, it is just another revenue grab in tickets when so many of us need to be at 5 places at once in this day n age. "lets slow people down so they will exceed the new limits to make revenue!" How about going after those who blatantly speed way over the current limit rather than make the rest of us suffer and take more time away from our days. Or does that require to much real work?

ReplyDeleteThe Police Department has no role in the collection of fines or the distribution of funds. The Municipal Court handles all tickets and revenue, and the City Council in cooperation with the Mayor’s office sets direction for spending of the money received. Currently, the revenue is deposited into the City’s General Fund, which assists each department providing a wide variety of services.
