Who says nothing is free? A space on a downtown Seattle street is free for the taking on Labor Day and a few other holidays.
On-street parking payment is not required:
- All Sundays
- January: January 1* and the 3rd Monday
- February: 3rd Monday
- May: Last Monday
- July: July 4*
- September: 1st Monday
- November: November 11* and the 4th Thursday
- December: December 25*
*If the date falls on a Sunday, the Monday that follows is a free parking day.
Time-limits are also not enforced on Sundays and holidays, unless specifically stated.
Now as to what is open on these days - you're on your own - but here's an entire webpage devoted to parking in Seattle.
And when you are parking on other days, here's a page with the rates and parking zones.
