Marianne Walsh and Andy Chamberlain, owners of the 9,000 square-foot facility under construction in Shoreline Place on Westminster Way N, promise an opening in time for the end of summer swim season.
“The Shoreline community deserves the best learn-to-swim pool in the region, and that’s what we’re bringing,” Marianne Walsh said.
“The timing is perfect for transitioning to the indoor swim season.”
Using their proprietary holistic approach, The Science of SwimPlay®, Goldfish Swim School helps kids from four months to 12 years old become safer in and around the water while building confidence and technique, whether they hope to swim competitively or recreationally.
The program stresses water safety to give parents peace of mind, while small class sizes ensure closer student- instructor interaction than some large swim club sessions.
“We’re offering a maximum four-to-one student ratio, so kids spend their time swimming, not standing in line,” Andy Chamberlain said. “Because it’s play-based, even the youngest swimmers enjoy the lessons and stay engaged.”
The pool, which will be 4 feet deep and heated to 90 degrees is currently being constructed in this building at Shoreline Place |
In addition to an enclosed full-size swimming pool that stays at a shiver-free 90 degrees, the new Goldfish Swim School will include private changing facilities, a gallery where parents can watch lessons in air-conditioned comfort, a snack bar and pro shop.
Goldfish Swim School – Shoreline will open in August at 15901 Westminster Way N in the building at the far northeast corner of the Shoreline Place site (near Pier 1 Imports).
