A 16 year old male was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk, westbound on NE 175th, around 7:30am on Tuesday morning, April 30, 2019.
Just after crossing 15th NE, he was struck by a car that was cutting through the Peking House parking lot to avoid the red light.
Although the bicycle was caught by the car, the boy slid free.
Medics responded and took him to Harborview.
Shoreline Fire reports that "Bicyclist is doing well considering. Possible arm fracture, road rash, no other obvious injuries with stable vital signs."
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet.
Westbound 175th was closed for investigation 15th NE to 12th NE for about 20 minutes.
The driver was cited.

I wish Shoreline would turn that southbound right lane into a turn-only lane. It would prevent people from running through the light at 175th and cutting people off at the merge and eliminate any need to cut through the Peking parking lot.
