This is a long time coming. Our last meal there tasted OK but the facilities, the table, the dishes and cups - it was all pretty nasty. Where is Gordon Ramsey when you need him!
ReplyDeleteNo surprise here. Place has always been sketchy for years. There are better places out there.
ReplyDeleteBeen eating there for 30 plus years, never had a problem or bad food.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this is an "employee" problem.
SHAYS DOES NO WRONG
ReplyDeleteI've been going to Shay's since I was a kid and it used to be good. It's declined in the last 20 years. I quit eating there over 5 years ago because it got too bad. Bad food filthy conditions and rude staff.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised I've been there, disappointed, it's mostly a joint to get high octane drinks. I grew up on dive dinner's, but they were clean regarding food practice.
ReplyDeleteDoes not surprise me at all.
ReplyDeleteAnytime your shoes stick to the carpet, when you walk across the floor, you know that management could give a rats patoot about health and cleanliness.
ReplyDeleteThe pour a stiff drink in the bar, though, so there’s that. But, I wouldn’t trust anyplace that wallows in their own filth.
We ate there once about twelve years ago and knew then that we would never return. We also drive by several times a week (we live five blocks away) and notice the help (cooks) standing out the side smoking and blowing snot rockets on the ground. Somehow, they always seem to have cars parked in front of the place.
ReplyDeleteNow where am I supposed to get the runs from?
