Intersection Improvements Open House
Wednesday, May 8, 2019
6:00 to 8:00pm with a brief presentation at 6:30pm
The City and Shoreline Community College are exploring options to modify the intersection at N 160th Street, Innis Arden Way, and Greenwood Ave N.
The growth of Shoreline Community College requires improvements at the intersection to better accommodate vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic and to meet level of service standards. These improvements must be completed by September 2025.
Over the next six months, we will lead the effort in partnership with the College to identify a preferred design concept for the intersection improvements that meet City standards for traffic delay and provide a safe intersection for all users.
Over the next six months, we will lead the effort in partnership with the College to identify a preferred design concept for the intersection improvements that meet City standards for traffic delay and provide a safe intersection for all users.
The two basic concepts under consideration are a traffic signal and a roundabout.
We want to hear from people who drive, walk, bike, or take transit through this intersection.
The focus of the open house is to share our goals for the project, introduce concepts presently under consideration, and get feedback from users on how they use the intersection, impacts or concerns regarding the current intersection, and current concepts.
This spring, we will continue to refine the concepts using comments gathered at the open house and online from users. We will then hold another public meeting with the College to share the updated concepts and provide an opportunity for people to comment before a preferred concept is selected.
