Friday Afternoon at the Movies April 5 - African Queen
Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center and Scarecrow Video’s Silver Cinema Project partner to show some of the most beloved classics for all to enjoy again and again.
This month, The African Queen will be shown on Friday, April 5, 1:30-3:30pm in the Bridge Room. There is a suggested donation of $2.00.
One of the first on location films, the 1952 classic The African Queen stars two of Hollywood’s greatest: Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.
It is the story of a gin swilling owner/captain of a clunky steamboat who gets persuaded by a straight laced missionary to use the boat to attack a German warship. The film depicting a WWI adventure is 105 minutes in length.
The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center is located in the southernmost building of the Shoreline Center, 18560 1st Ave NE #1, 206-365-1536.
Such a nice way to spend a Friday afternoon with your sweetie or friends! Come, enjoy!
