Seattle Poppy took these photos on Thursday, February 28, 2019. We are not sure when they all fell. Some trees fell during the storm but anecdotally it seemed like there were more big branches and trees coming down with the freezing temps and ice following the snow.
Note that some of the trails may be in less than pristine condition after this damage, so proceed with some caution.
Shoreview Park is at 700 NW Innis Arden Way Shoreline 98177, a huge park bordered by Carlyle-Hall Road, Innis Arden Way, and Shoreline Community College.
Reader Gary Lee Moore says that "They first fell over about two and a half weeks ago. That first windy and snowy night. The majority of the big branches broke down as it continued snowing for days. There are quite a few risky widowmaker branches hanging up there. I go through there at least once a week. Those big leaners at the junction up to the dog park, in the photos, came down roots and all in the wind.
