5th NE to close along Jackson Park Golf Course during Sound Transit construction

Starting as early as April 2019, the 5th Ave NE roadway between NE 130th Street and NE 145th St, along the Jackson Park Golf Course, will close so Sound Transit crews can begin construction of the elevated guideway for the Lynnwood Link light rail project.

The existing pedestrian trail which runs the perimeter of the golf course will remain open but northbound and southbound lanes will be closed to traffic.

Local access for the properties between NE 130th St and the south end of the golf course will be maintained.

Both NE 130th St and NE 145th St I-5 off-ramps will remain open.

The closure could happen as early as April 2019 or as late as the summer of 2022. The duration of closure will be for about 3 years and 3 months.
