Rapid Response Training Tuesday to support immigrant rights

The City of Shoreline, Shoreline Public Schools, Washington Alliance for Better Schools, and the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network are sponsoring two events on Tuesday to support immigrant families in our community.

The training is aimed at school staff, community organizations, and anyone else working with immigrants.

Rapid Response is an information session on Tuesday morning at the Shoreline Center.

Registration is closed for the event.

Creating Rapid Response Teams - this session is in the evening from 6 to 8pm in the Shorewood High School Library 17300 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline 98133.

Presented by Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network, understand the immigration enforcement process and how to take action to support our neighbors and community members who are most affected. The training is open to all interested in supporting immigrants. Training will cover topics from the morning session, and also include:
  • How to activate a community response team; and
  • What to do if ICE is in the area
The event is free but you are asked to register HERE

Talk about adding insult to injury. Last week we received our exorbitant property tax bill. Today we learn that the City and School District are using their ill-gotten gain to subvert Federal immigration law.
