On Tues November 13, 2018 the Lake Forest Park Garden Club will have Alex LaVilla, discussing:

“SHADY CHARACTERS: THE BEST HARDY FERNS AND COMPANION PLANTS FOR NW SHADE GARDENS”

While discussing some of the best hardy ferns, Alex LaVilla will touch on some outstanding shrubs, perennials, and grasses as complements to the delicate textures of ferns.

Alex is on the “Great Plant Picks” committee, has been head of the Perennial and Bulb subcommittee since 2001, and works at Swanson’s Nursery in Seattle.

Meetings are held at Third Place Commons at Bothell Way NE and Ballinger Way NE at the Town Center upper level stage area. General meeting from 9:15am then a break for coffee and cookies. At 10:30am our speaker will begin. Meeting last usually until 12 noon.

All are welcome to attend to 2 free talks and then we would want you to join the club for $25.00 a year. We have many activities throughout the year. We hold meetings from Sept to May, then have summer activities, like a picnic, bus trip, Christmas party, etc. All level of gardeners welcomed.
