North City Tech Meetup: Deep Learning (AI)

The next North City Tech Meetup will feature Adi Oltean talking about Deep Learning (AI)
Monday, September 10, 7 to 9pm at the Lake Forest Park Public Library, lower level Town Center, 17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park 98155

Deep Learning: What is it? What makes it possible? What can we do with it?

Machine learning, and its latest incarnation (Deep Learning) is not just a buzzword. It is an evolving technology that is already changing our lives. In this talk we will learn what Deep Learning is, what makes it different than other machine learning or AI initiatives in the past, and what hardware and software innovations made it possible. We will conclude with concrete scenarios where GPUs are used to accelerate and scale machine learning models in production.

Adi Oltean
Adi Oltean is a principal software engineer at Microsoft, focused on hardware acceleration techniques for deep learning, indexing and storage.

Attendance is free and the general public is invited. You do not need to be a member to attend.

RSVP is not needed, but is appreciated. RSVP Here

The North City Tech Meetup is a free meetup, usually the first Monday of each month at one of our local libraries: Lake Forest Park, Shoreline or Kenmore.
