No plans to close Albertson's or Safeway locally

The Safeway corporation, which owns Safeway and Albertson's in Washington state, recently announced that it would close two "low performing" stores in Seattle.

The Albertson's at 130th and Aurora and the Greenwood Safeway at 87th and Greenwood will both close by June 16.

A spokesperson for Safeway confirmed there are no plans to close any stores in Shoreline / LFP.
