Lake Forest Park Farmers Market opened on a sunny summer-like day.
Usually opening days are cool and damp but this year's opening was sunny and 83 degrees. The market was crowded with shoppers, but you could still get around to see everything. There was a little something for everyone.
You could get mom flowers - and a bottle of local wine
In the past few years, the market has added ready to eat food, so it's a great place to go for lunch. Good food and great people watching. Bringing your own pizza oven is a new one.
The alpacas are always incredibly popular. These guys are lying down on the job.
The market nearly always has buskers, sometimes two. But a juggler / acrobat is a new attraction.
For a modest fee, this man will write you a poem.
All in all, the Sunday Farmers' Market at Lake Forest Park Town Center (intersection of Ballinger and Bothell Way, 10am to 3pm) is a wonderful experience. It is small enough that you can see everything and it's not overwhelming. There's food ready to eat and places to sit and eat it. There's quirky and interesting entertainment. And there's vegetable and fruit shopping and bouquets of flowers for the table.
It's a perfect Sunday experience. Go. Tell them I sent you.
