As proud residents and educators in the Shoreline community, we want to express our enthusiastic support for the Shoreline School District’s replacement of expiring levies. Voting YES to the levies will bring crucial funding to our schools and education programs, as these vital programs are not fully supported by state and federal funding. Importantly, voting YES for this measure does not mean that there will be new levies, but simply the continuation of existing measures that have made our school system outstanding.
We all know the great importance of the following programs that this levy supports:
- Special education, highly capable and remedial programs
- Nurses, family advocates, librarians and counselors
- Building maintenance utilities and transportation
- Extra-curricular student activities including music, drama and athletics
- Professional development for teachers and other staff
- Computers, software, assistive technology and technology access
THANK YOU for the hard work, passion and dedication of our Shoreline District educators, administrators, coaches and staff who continually make a positive difference in the lives of our students.
THANK YOU to our Levy committee of Rebecca Miner, Curtis Campbell, Maren Norton, Silje Sodal, Jill Brady, Pat Valle, Leslie Boyd, Jackie Hubbard, Jon Culver, Kendahl Adjorlolo, Jill Steinberg, Scott Irwin, Molly Rogers, Hillery Clark, Suzanne Gugger, Rebekah Emmanuel, Lisa Surowiec, Jonathan Thoms, Timothy Buckley, and Chrisy Francescutti for their support of this renewal levy.
THANK YOU to all of you who will vote YES to the Shoreline School District.
We are beyond grateful for the Shoreline community’s continual support of our schools. When you pass this levy you are saying YES to our schools, YES to our educators, YES to every student, and YES to the future of Shoreline.
Please join us in voting YES for SHORELINE SCHOOLS by February 13th.

We are continuing to be asked to pass more property taxes, a regressive system that our state perpetuates rather than face hard decisions for alternative fairer taxes. While the school support seems/is justified, the state has started another new tax for schools in this tax year. There is no mention in the Shoreline levy of what the state tax will offset in the four year interval they are proposing. I haven't seen Shoreline explain this during the campaign. Hence it all becomes just more add on's, and a little difficult to support without more explanation. If someone knows where there is an explanation, please direct me to it before the election deadline. Thanks, Glenn Cannon
