The house is in the 17000 block of Brookside Blvd.
There were no reports of injuries.
Brookside Blvd was blocked until 8:30pm. Fire trucks will be there through the night, however the road is open. Because of the freezing temps and all the water, it may be slick. Public Works has treated the road, but drivers are warned to be careful.

UPDATE: The King County Fire Investigators are ruling it accidental and have determined that the oil furnace malfunctioned. Crews did hold the scene overnight, but that was due to keeping the scene secure. The Investigator didn’t have adequate lighting that evening and couldn’t determine it was structurally safe to enter until there was daylight available.
