Shorewood began its league season Thursday night with a home match against the Lynnwood Royals. The Thunderbirds took immediate control and dominated their way to a 48-0 lead after nine matches.
Highlighting the streak was senior Matthew McMillan securing an 8-4 victory at 152 pounds over Lynnwood's reigning WESCO South champion Oscar Vasquez. Lynnwood scratched back a bit, but never challenged Shorewood as the T-Birds rolled to a 66-12 victory.
Shorewood wrestles next this Saturday, January 6th, in the Shoreline Invitational Tournament at Shorecrest high School.
