The Arabella Apartments on the corner of 15th NE and NE 180th in Shoreline's North City Business District is expanding to a second building.

The Arabella II, like the Arabella I, will be multi-family living. It will have 81 units. It faces NE 180th across from the North City Fire Station.

  1. Sweeet! Look how deep the cities pockets are getting.
More subsidized low income housing for fatherless children to overcrowd our schools while their mothers drive up and down 15th all day congesting all the new one lane roads with their Mercedes and Lexus.
    Unfrickin believable!

I do hope Metro Transit is paying attention and will improve their service to/from North City. Their planner told me last year, there is no demand or reason to offer service over to Meridian or Aurora to access the major commuter lines...

  3. Great! More low income subsidized living where nobody lives to be vested in their community. Where reaping social handouts and government assistance is a practiced and celebrated way of life.
    What a blight.

Gotta move it out cause the sheep are movin in

  4. I understand we need more housing but why do all these apartments have to be the same? Big square squat ugly. Why don't these developments have to add some amenities for the neighborhood? A little public open space, green roof, solar panel, anything? for sure we know we'll have cars parked all over for blocks in all directions.

  5. Huh! Anonymous(es?) above, not seeing any reason to believe these units will be affordable housing... have you looked at rent in new buildings?? Not to mention I don't really like your tone about anything less than Shoreline for the rich only. Got money? Great. Appreciate your health/education that allows you to hold a good job, or family money. I prefer to live in a mixed city.

  6. And this building will pay no property taxes for 10-12 years, which means no consistent school funding for the hundreds of children it will add to the school system...
