A man was shot early this morning in Aurora Square, then drove himself to a local hospital in a stolen car.
Just before 2:00am on Friday, December 1, 2017 Seattle Police contacted the King County Sheriff’s Office and reported that a man was at NW Hospital with a gunshot wound and said he had been shot in Shoreline.
Police learned the victim and his girlfriend had arranged to meet another man in the upper parking lot at Aurora Square, N155th St and Westminster Ave N.
At some point during the meeting an argument ensued between the two men and the suspect fired at least one shot, striking the victim.
The victim then drove himself and his girlfriend to NW Hospital to be treated. Police later learned the victim’s vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle out of Seattle.
The victim, 34 from Seattle, was transferred to Harborview Hospital and is in serious but stable condition. The girlfriend, 31 from Renton, was not injured during the incident.
At this time police have no information on the suspect or why the group was meeting at that location.
