Gunnar Thorsten is the Number 1 boys tennis player for Shorewood High School and a co-captain of the team. He attends Kings, which has no tennis program.

Last season, he improved to 21-7 overall, placed third in districts and fourth at state. His only loss at state came against eventual runner-up Ranjan Sharangpan of Capital.
