Tall ships used to sail into Puget Sound to dock at Upsalady at the north end of Camano Island. There was a lumber town there, where loggers cut the tall trees and prepared them to be masts for the sailing ships.
Ships from all over the world came there for the straight, strong, and tall masts.
Most did not get as far south as the "Shoreline Sea."
