The project will provide 221 new apartment units, 44 of which will be designated as affordable.
The name “Paceline” is a cycling term, drawing attention to the project’s strategic location along the Interurban Trail.
I wonder how many Shoreline residents are aware that property developers developing 4 or more units are exempted from property taxes? Not only do we get the pleasure of allowing developers to turn our nice neighborhoods into urban ghettos but the even get tax exemption to encourage them.
ReplyDeleteHow long are they exempt from property tax? Are they 100% exempt? What will the difference in tax be from the chubby and tubby lot that was there prior? Will they pay less than the old peep show places next door?
DeleteOnly 44 out of 221 affordable.
ReplyDeleteGuess that leaves most of us out of luck!
I don't know who decided this style of development was what we needed - I'll take a taller building, smaller footprint any day!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the Tax exemption come on the City Council meeting for October 18th. Looks like another protest.
