Skandia's Third Friday dance Jul 21

Costumes optional
Skandia Third Friday Dance at the Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave W, Lynnwood 98036.

Two Puget Sound-area bands — Nordleik (Jane Landrstra and Ken Embry) and Fiol Glädje (Irene Myers, Bob Hamilton, and Leslie Foley) — will split the evening.

Jane and Ken are coming all the way from Poulsbo to share their lovely tunes. Fiol Glädje (fiddle happiness!) will give you some foot happiness to finish the evening with a mix of bygdedans, gammaldans, and a few rousing mixers.

Larry Reinert and Lisa Brooks will teach two dances: Telegangar and Vals fr. Fosen.

Telegangar is an easy and fun Norwegian dance, sort of like swing, with a lot of interaction between partners.

The Vals fr. Fosen is an interesting waltz variant that can be done to any waltz tune.

Class, 7:30pm; dance, 8:30–11pm. $15 (Skandia members, $10); kids, free.
