LFP Elementary students won bikes in a drawing after completing a reading program |
Seattle’s Yancey C. Blalock Freemason Lodge generously offered their “Bikes for Books” program to Lake Forest Park Elementary to encourage students to read books and lead a healthy, active life.
From February to June, K-6 students who met their teacher’s monthly reading goal entered a ticket into the “Bikes for Books” drawing.
On the last day of school, teacher-librarian, Frank Kleyn, along with members of the Yancey C. Blalock lodge, drew four names to win bicycles and gift cards for new helmets.
All Lake Forest Park students were inspired to read books and participate in the “Bikes for Books” program.
Our staff and students thank the Yancey C. Blalock Freemason Lodge for encouraging our students to read books and ride bikes. Thank you!
