The American Legion Post 227 in Shoreline will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday evening, March 7, 2017. The meeting will feature an engaging example of heroism in WW II.
Post member Dwight Stevens will tell of his arrival in England on June 7, 1944, the day after D-DAY, to join the 8th Air Force.
As a B-17 pilot, he flew sorties over most of Europe and also Russia. His 33 completed raids were often tense and harrowing.
