Intruder killed during Shoreline home invasion

Just after 7:00 Saturday morning police responded to a report of a robbery at gunpoint at a residence in the 14500 block of Whitman Ave N in Shoreline.

When police arrived they found a man, who the resident identified as one of the robbery suspects, shot in the home.

The resident at the house told police he woke up when two men kicked in the front door and entered the residence. The man told police at least one of the suspects was armed with a gun. The resident shot one of the suspects while the other suspect fled the area on foot.

Aid responded, but was unable to resuscitate the man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

King County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the incident.
