Detectives release more info about deadly home invasion

King County Sheriff’s detectives have released more information about a home invasion robbery that occurred Saturday in Shoreline where one of the suspects was shot and killed by the resident.

The incident happened just before 7:00am Saturday, November 12th in the 14500 block of Whitman Ave N in Shoreline. The victim and his girlfriend were at the condominium sleeping when they were awoken by three men, two armed with rifles.

The suspects entered the condominium and went upstairs to where the couple was sleeping. The suspects ordered the victims to get on their knees while demanding narcotics and money.

The male victim fought with one of the armed suspects and was able to grab a rifle he had in the house and shot him. The other two suspects fled the scene on foot.

The two outstanding suspects were arrested by detectives this week. One, a 27 year old Seattle man was arrested on Wednesday and the other, a 26 year old Seattle man, was arrested early Thursday morning. Both men have been booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery and Burglary. The armed suspect who was shot and killed by the resident was a 26 year old Shoreline man.

The case will be forwarded to the King County Prosecutor’s office which will review the case for filing charges on the suspects and make a determination on the shooting.
