The Pridemore Family. From left: Samantha, Cindy, Lucy, Wayne, Tabitha, and son Dave. Dave and wife Cindy, Samantha, and Sabrina (not shown, now at WSU) graduated from Shorewood. Tabitha is a senior. Photo taken by one of the cheerleaders.
At the end of the first quarter of the Shorewood homecoming game on Friday, photographer Wayne Pridemore was recognized for his years of service as the unofficial Shorewood photographer.
As an active member of the Shorewood Booster club, Wayne has photographed hundreds of events.
He has been sharing his sports photos, Dust to Dawn night shots, and community event photos with the Shoreline Area News for many years. You will find his name on photos of everything from public art works to dramatic storm photos at Richmond Beach.
He posts his sports photos on his Flickr account and invites people to download his photos for free.
If you wonder about his motivation, it's all in the photo above. He has been photographing his children and grandchildren and all their teammates in their Shorewood sports careers for years.
And now his youngest Shorewood granddaughter is a senior and Wayne is talking about retirement.
It will take a lot of people to replace him.
