Veterans and Human Services Levy Community Conversations: An opportunity to share what your community needs

King County has planned a series of community conversations in cities around King County between now and the end of October.

A series of community conversations are being held to:
  • Discuss changes in communities since the VHSL was renewed in 2012
  • Discuss community priorities going forward for veteran and human services
  • Build upon lessons learned in previous community meetings to inform future planning

In North King County, a Shoreline conversation will be held October 5 at 6:30pm in the Shoreline Library Large Meeting Room.

For more information, to register, and to see other dates and cities, see the Flyer with Cities by Date.

From Leo Flor, Veterans and Human Services Levy Renewal Manager:

"King County wants to hear from community members as we plan for possible renewal of the Veterans and Human Services Levy (VHSL). The current VHS Levy will expire at the end of 2017. We will use what we learn from this community conversation as we plan for how the Veterans and Human Services Levy-if renewed next year-can best serve King County residents."

This is an opportunity for community participation to shape the possible renewal of the Veterans and Human Services Levy.
