Ridgecrest Elementary playfield improvement project

Construction is underway on a playfield improvement project at Ridgecrest Elementary School.

Crews are currently excavating and leveling surfaces on the site to make way for a new playfield that will provide the school and community with athletic and recreational opportunities for many years to come.

The project, which is expected to be complete this December, will include a new synthetic turf playfield, basketball backboard and pole, picnic tables, benches and wood fiber safety surfacing.

The $1.4 million project is being funded by a bond approved by Shoreline Public Schools voters in 2006.

The playfield design was completed by D.A. Hogan and Associates and A-1 Landscaping and Construction is constructing the playfield.
