Is this the last rose of summer? It's supposed to start raining. If it's heavy enough, it will pound the petals off the flowers and the leaves off the trees. There's a cheerful thought for you!
However, remember the poet's lines: Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying.
Don't worry about the rest of the poem, it's really sexist and somewhat depressing. Focus on the lovely yellow rose.
