Edmonds Police ask for public's help in finding runaway driver

Joshua Blackwell
Wanted for eluding police
The Edmonds Police are looking for Joshua Blackwood, a 21 year old from the Everett area.

Monday night around 7:30pm he fled from an officer in the silver car in the photographs.

The officer tried to stop him for reckless driving and he took off at a high rate of speed.

After a short time, the officer stopped chasing him because Blackwood was driving too dangerously.

Car was crashed on the ramp from SR 104 to SR 99.

The officer found his car, crashed on the off ramp from State Route 104 to the northbound lanes of Highway 99 (right near Burlington Coat Factory).

The car had damage but the driver was able to run

When the officer arrived, Blackwood got out and ran off. The officer checked Blackwood in the system and he had three misdemeanor warrants. One of those was for .... ...Reckless Driving.

Thanks to his actions from Monday night, we also want him for felony eluding of a police officer.

A K9 track was not able to locate him.

If you see Mr. Blackwood, or know where he is, please call 911.

The tattoo on his neck says "Family" in cursive.

  1. Asking the public to help track someone down who had committed a murder,
assault, someone involved in grand theft or perhaps a kidnapping, this I could see, but a traffic infraction? Are things really that slow in Edmonds that we have to play up a traffic infraction?

    1. Felony eluding isn't a traffic infraction.
