Shoreline STEM Festival & Science Fair Saturday at SCC

This Saturday May 14, 2016, the fourth annual Shoreline STEM Festival and Science Fair is returning to Shoreline Community College from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
This growing community event offers K-12 students an opportunity to immerse their minds and senses into all types of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The Shoreline STEM Festival is a free event that boasts an amazing science fair hosted by students of Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, and neighboring communities. Designated display sessions offer students interaction with judges.
In addition, there will be exhibitors representing many different areas of STEM including Boeing, Fred Hutchinson, research labs from the UW, and Insect Safari. Students will be able to experience hands-on activities and gather stamps on a Passport to Education as proof of their journey through the STEM exhibits.
Robotics have a huge display space this year and will be up close and personal with award winning Robots! Exhibits that open minds to careers in DNA research, mystery investigations, insects, local environmental groups, lab medicine, histology, Shoreline Community College STEM clubs, and many, many more await you.
A Washington State science fair table will provide students with information about participation in higher level science fairs where millions of dollars in awards and scholarships is available.
