Thirty-four Shorecrest High School students participated in the 14th Annual Northwest Association of Biomedical Research (NWABR) Student Bio Expo on May 16 at Shoreline Community College.
The event provides students with the opportunity to learn about biotechnology, biomedicine and bioethics.
The students were among over 370 students from over 20 schools across the state who spent the year independently researching a scientific topic and creating a project around it.
Many of the Shorecrest students also earned awards for their projects. The students were advised by Shorecrest honors biology teachers Shelby Bushman and David Svrcek.
