Friday night at 10:00pm Lake Forest Park officers responded to a vacant residence after a citizen called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle that had backed into the driveway.

When officers arrived, they contacted two subjects sitting in a U-Haul van. While officers were attempting to ID the subjects, the male subject lied about his name.

The female was identified and later taken into custody for an arrest warrant. She identified the male subject (who had been previously arrested by officers a just over a week ago).

When officers went to take the subject into custody, the subject resisted arrest and was able to escape through heavy brush. The officers were a little scraped up from trying to chase after the suspect in the heavy brush but they are doing ok. It is believed that the suspects were there at the residence to burglarize it.

Units from Shoreline, Kenmore and Bothell Police Departments assisted in the response and providing containment. A K-9 Unit from Seattle responded as well as Guardian One (King County Helicopter) to assist in locating the suspect. Units spent over an hour searching for the suspect without success.

The suspect has been identified and charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor. Information regarding the suspect and the incident has been forwarded to local jurisdictions.

  1. When helicopters have been churning overhead, yes, I DO want to hear what happened. Thank you!
