2016 Stem Presentation |
The Shoreline STEM Festival and Science Fair (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is seeking science fair judges and other volunteers for Saturday, May 14.
The majority of science fair projects are grades K-6, and judges will be asked to talk to students about their projects and fill out a simple judging rubric.
Training will be provided, and a background in STEM is not necessary.
The festival will be from 10am to 2pm at Shoreline Community College, and judges are needed from 9:45am to 1pm. The science fair format gives children an opportunity to practice communication and presentation skills, as well as the scientific method. If you would like to be a part of this fun and educational event as a judge, please contact us.
Other volunteer opportunities are also available to help with event set-up, registration and concessions.
The festival combines a K-12 student science fair with an exciting and diverse array of hands-on exhibits from STEM-related organizations that everyone can enjoy. All are invited!
More information about the festival can be found on the website. Sign up to volunteer on the website, or by email.
