Give BIG for local institutions on Tuesday

Tuesday is GiveBIG day, when the Seattle Foundation matches contributions to participating organizations. Here are some of the local organizations who have sent in notices:

Shoreline Community College Foundation
Make a big impact for students and #GiveBig on May 3!
You can make a big impact for students when you #GiveBig on May 3. When you support Shoreline Community College Foundation during the May 3 #GiveBig event, your donation will be stretched thanks to funds from Seattle Foundation and corporate sponsors. Donation forms are already live at Seattle Foundation’s #GiveBIG site. Thank you for your support of our students!

Northwest Center
GiveBIG 2016 - Let's Do This. Together! Donate to Northwest Center on May 3, 2016 and stretch your contribution with GiveBIG 2016. Your donations sustain, enhance, and grow our programs so that we can serve more than 1,000 individuals and their families annually - and provide them with the level of care they deserve. Thank you!

Compass Housing
On Tuesday, May 3rd, when you GiveBIG (or little) to Compass Housing Alliance, you will help provide housing and supportive services to 16,000 of our community's most vulnerable men, women, and children. Make your GiveBIG gift here to be counted and stretched on GiveBIG day. Your gift will changes lives.

Seattle Humane Society
Seattle Humane's focus for GiveBIG 2016 is its successful Life-Saver Rescue program - a model for shelters nationwide - which has grown to an average of two transfer trips every week. In a partnership with 160 animal shelters in Washington, as well as shelters in California, Georgia and Hawaii, Seattle Humane went on over 200 rescue trips last year and saved the lives of 4,221 pets who had run out of time or needed additional care. Seattle Humane will be holding contests throughout the day on Facebook and Twitter for GiveBIG donors to win tickets to a Sounders game on June 25. Brad Evans and Zach Mathers have also each donated a signed soccer ball which will be given away on Seattle Humane's Instagram page. Donate here.

Wonderland Development
Please support infants and toddlers with disabilities by joining Wonderland's community of donors in a BIG way! All day Tuesday, click HERE to make a donation to Wonderland through The Seattle Foundation's GiveBig portal.

Kruckeberg Botanic Garden Foundation
Kruckeberg Botanic Garden is here for the entire community to use and enjoy. Kids come for field trips or to build fairy houses, students come to learn about plants, and families go on strolls through the trails. You, our closest friends, understand what a special resource this place is to people all over the region. The Garden relies on donations from people like you for nearly half of our operating budget every year. Please donate to the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden Foundation today to maintain the Garden and provide special experiences for children of all ages.

Center for Human Services
Center for Human Services (CHS) is a private, nonprofit agency whose mission is to strengthen the community through counseling, education, and support to children, youth, adults, and families. We have been a valuable resource to the community since 1970. At CHS we believe that the most critical element for strengthening a community is to strengthen its members and their families through preventive and responsive programs. We strive to offer programs that are strengths-based, family-focused, client-centered, culturally competent, and integrated. Donate here.

For others, donate at the GiveBig website. Last year's event brought in over 15 million dollars for area charities.
