Delegates chosen at Democratic precinct caucuses in March discussed the County party platform and resolutions at the King County Democratic Convention Sunday at Hazen High School in Renton.
This year's speaking program was anchored by Washington's senior U. S. Senator, Patty Murray.
The convention does not elect delegates for presidential candidates to the state convention. That was done at legislative district caucuses in mid-April.
Anyone who was a delegate or alternate to their legislative district caucus was also a delegate or alternate to the county convention.
The convention was called to order at 1pm Sunday.
Speakers included U.S. Sen. Murray, King County Executive Dow Constantine, U.S. Representative Suzan DelBene, U.S. Representative Adam Smith, and King County Council members Claudia Balducci, Jeanne Kohl-Welles, Larry Gossett, and Rod Dembowski.
