Shoreline firefighters do NOT solicit door to door

Shoreline Fire wants to assure the community that Shoreline firefighters are not going door-to-door offering home fire safety inspections or any type of safety checks inside private residences.
A company called RED Safety has been canvassing neighborhoods offering such services in Shoreline and other Puget Sound communities.
Shoreline Fire advises against doing business with door-to-door solicitors of any type.
No Shoreline firefighter will ever come to your door offering safety advice, inspections or to sell safety products such as smoke alarms or alarm systems. Shoreline Firefighters also never call to solicit donations or with business offers of any kind.
If you have questions about anyone who says they represent a Fire Department, follow this advice:

- Request a printed brochure or business card with the Company's contact information on it for follow-up BEFORE you agree to talk with them.
- Never allow a stranger to enter your home unless you have made an appointment with a reputable business that you are sure about.
