Pond at Paramount Park Photo by Vicki Westberg |
It took me years to figure out that there are two Paramount Parks in Shoreline. The big, flat one with the walking path, picnic shelters, and playground is Paramount School Park. That one sits on school district land and is used as a park under an agreement between the City of Shoreline and the Shoreline School District.
The Paramount Park where this beautiful photo was taken is south and east of the school park and is sometimes called the Paramount Park Open Space. It is an area of tunnel paths, dense vegetation, and several wetland ponds that rise and fall with the season.

It was so refreshing to see the newer members of the commission flexing some muscle earlier this evening and demanding accuracy and unanswered questions be answered, and that information be provided about the real impacts and what tools are available to us as a City to get the public amenities we need to accommodate the stations, tree replacement, and sound barrier replacement. The era of these silly, little, foolish boys who make decisions solely for their professional networks needs to end, and hopefully this evening was a prelude of things to come.
This looks wonderful. Is there an address I can put in the GPS? I don't know the area well enough to find it.
946 NE 147th St, Shoreline, WA 98155. I believe there are three entrances to the park.
