Mark McVeety |
Mark McVeety was an SCC faculty member and liaison to the City of Shoreline and former President of the Shoreline Community College Foundation. He ran the Quick-Start Shoreline business seminars and was a frequent contributor to this publication.
Mark passed away this past December from melanoma.
Mark and his wife Tiffany established The Mark F. and Tiffany T. McVeety Student Fund 1 for the purpose of assisting returning students who have had to drop out of school because of a serious illness.
This fund will make it possible for the student(s) to return to Shoreline Community College when they are able without the worry of tuition, books and parking expenses.
You can make your donation to the McVeety Student Fund with a credit card over the phone to the Foundation office at 206-533-6783 or write a check to the Shoreline Community College Foundation and put “McVeety Student Fund” in the memo of the check.
The fund is now up to $23,739, just $1,261 short of the $25,000 goal for the fund to become an endowment and provide assistance to students in perpetuity.

Make a difference in the life of a student experiencing health issues and make a donation in the memory of Mark McVeety to the Mark F. and Tiffany T McVeety Student Fund 1. You will be helping their dream of making this an endowment come true.
The Foundation is located in the Admin Building and the address is: 16101 Greenwood Avenue North, Room #1005, Shoreline, WA 98133 (campus maps). Your gift is 100% tax deductible. The Foundation’s non-profit tax ID # is: 91-1265475.
