Mr. Pridemore followed the team all the way to the State 3A Final.

Mr. Wayne Pridemore — aka "Grandpa Wayne" — takes thousands of photographs of Shoreline and Shorewood High School events every year and freely shares the images. His photos appear frequently in the Shoreline Area News and are a fixture in the Shorewood monthly newsletter, the Shorewood Signal.

Mr. Pridemore takes photos of all girls and boys sports,
performance teams, and the marching and pep bands at Shorewood.

He gets up early to photograph the Turkey Trot at Saltwater Park and stays up late to capture atmospheric shots for his Dawn to Dusk series. He's there when the firefighters hand out goodies at Christmas, when the Farmers Market is in session, and when new stores open.

His sports action shots are stunning - capturing high school athletes in mid-air, balls on their way to the bat, and shots looking down through the basketball net.

And his flower photos make stars of tulips.

Mr. Pridemore will turn 80 on April 28th, so his family, friends, and admirers are turning the focus onto the photographer himself. During the month of April, you can celebrate and thank him for his service to our community by making a donation to the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation.

The Foundation will notify Mr. Pridemore of your gift, and all gifts will support the Arts in Shoreline Schools.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Pridemore!
