Cascade K-8 TSA qualifies for national competition

The Cascade K-8 Technology Student Association (TSA) brought home some prestigious awards at the Washington State TSA Conference in SeaTac on April 1. They had teams place 4th for Video Game Design and 1st for Children's Stories.

The video game design team impressed the judges with their design for a platform game called “Mr. Tux.” The students programmed the game, electronically wrote the music, and designed the graphics for the game.

The children’s stories team placed 1st for Snowball and the Iceberg, a story about Adelie penguins in Antarctica. The technology component for that category focused on the students’ ability to research their story’s topic and present it using graphic design.

The Cascade K-8 TSA will now compete in the National Technology Student Association Conference in Nashville, TN on June 28 - July 2, 2016.

    Hopefully the school district will give them permission to travel. Seems not so long ago field trips out of state were ceased.
