Friday Roundtable: Soft Skills

This Friday’s Roundtable: Soft Skills, with Ed Cruver
Friday, February 12, 1:00-2:30pm

Soft skills is a term often associated with a person's "EQ" (Emotional Intelligence Quotient), the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, interpersonal skills, managing people, leadership, etc. that characterize relationships with other people.

Other examples of soft skills:
  • Communicating well verbally, as well as non-verbally
  • Making good decisions
  • Adaptability
  • Problem solving
  • Commitment
  • Flexibility
  • Time Management
There are even more, and we’ll touch on a few this Friday, with Shoreline Senior Center volunteer and longtime Roundtable contributor, Ed Cruver.

Do you react when criticized, or calmly consider the criticism? How well do you handle pressure? Do you see things from other’s perspectives?

Ed will cover this and more, and of course we’d love to hear your own examples of soft skills and how best to put them to work. Great coffee and treats, compliments of Central, and always free!

See you this Friday – and as always, Good Luck Out There!
